Storm damage in Elkhart County
This couple came home to find their basement flooded after heavy storms. The over whelming amount of rain water filled up an egress window and poured in the basement. Once the water got into the basement it found it's way in between the cork flooring and the moisture barrier under the flooring. The water also got deep enough that the insulation in the exterior walls had to be removed. After the flooring, drywall (2 foot off the floor), and insulation were removed we were able to start the dry out process. The home owners were pleased with the final outcome of the restoration. They decided to lay new flooring at a later date by themselves.
