Fire & Duct Cleaning
These photos show the process of cleaning up after a fire at a local dorm. The SERVPRO team when into the local dorm after the fire and cleaned up immediately. Luckily, this was not a large fire but there was still some water damage in addition to the obstruction caused by the fire. After the fire damage was done, the SERVPRO team began the clean up process. During the cleaning process, an important thing to address is the duct cleaning.
Duct cleaning with out fire damage should be addressed anyway. Every three to five years ducts should be cleaned. However, when fires take place, the ducts need to be cleaned immediately. The air ducts circulate air within a building. So, when a fire takes place, there is smoke and soot that gets sucked into the air vents. Afterwards, this laundry room looks brand new!
